Actually there are many wars taking place right now, not that you'd know if you watched the mainstream media (MSM) in the UK (I'm looking at you Sky and BBC) but let's pause for a moment to take a look at Britain's involvement in just one "war" in particular, Afghanistan.
Since the fall of the twin towers in 2001 Tony Blair dutifully followed his orders to a T and manufactured public consent (because there certainly wasn't any UN approval) via the MSM as he full throatedly followed his 'murican' masters into war, where we bunkered in for 14 years, spending £27bn and ended the lives of 453 service personnel.
Ahh cool, so we won that war, I thought for a second... *needle scratch* wait, what?
So, if we did in fact win the war in Afghanistan, why didn't we forward the wiki link to America to let them know, we could have prevented them from continuing to bomb the Afghans back to the stone age, to say nothing of them dropping the MOAB, and if the fall of the Taliban was indeed the marker for success, how come in 2015 it was reported that the Taliban held more ground that at any point since 2001, controlling anywhere up to 40% of the regions in Afghanistan.
I tell ya boys, something is rotten in the state of Denmark and the media are keeping schtum.
This is yet another MSM fake news story, but just imagine for a moment living a world where the media asked those in power the difficult questions and to justify not only the war in Afghanistan, but Libya, Iraq, North Africa and all the others. A world where politicians were held accountable for their war-crimes, a world where the MSM reminded us on a daily basis how many billions our government has spent on various interventions, or how many soldiers have died or are living on the street or committing suicide. Maybe then, we'd finally get an anti-war political party. Which brings us neatly to Jeremy Corbyn. Jeremy said he would only take us to war as a last resort. Which was ALWAYS the case, and SHOULD always be the case, but now the media are asking "is he WEAK?" for not wanting to wage wars of aggression in and around the middle East.
What does is say about our society when the media will practically goad a political leader into bombing some of the poorest countries around the world?
Who's watching the watchmen?
I guess we'll never know where the pressure to go to war comes from...
Picture the scene: You're standing in line at Trader Joe's, you let a fellow shopper cut in because they appear to be in a hurry, you ask yourself why the frick they took a shopping cart for just some fruit?... but I guess that's neither here nor there at this point, the person you just did a solid for, then begins abusing you because you happen not to believe in her Zombie carpenter god?
Nope, that wasn't an imaginary scene from the Real Housewives, this actually took place just the other day in U.S. of fucking-A. The victim began filming the exchange after the woman started talking about female genital mutilation, as you do!
We all know, female circumcising isn't a muslin problem, it's an 'African' problem, and yes there are some predominately Muslim countries in Africa such as Somalia, where FGM takes place, but look at Ethiopia and Eritrea for example, they have up to 90% female genital mutilation and they're predominately Christian countries, so why don't we (and by we, I mean you, and by you, of course I mean the general public) associate this barbaric custom with Christianity? again, we all know that judging an entire race or religion based on some extreme acts carried out by a tiny percentage is the textbook definition of racism.
Saudi Arabia is arguably the most extreme Muslim country on the face of the Earth, who publicly behead hundreds of people each year for such 'crimes' as apostasy and witchcraft. Despite these killings and the West's "war on terror" America and Britain could not love the Saudi regime any more if it tried, nobody believes that westboro baptist church is indicative of all Christians, so ask yourself this, why is it then reasonable to assume all Muslims share culpability with Islamic extremists?
I hate to admin it, but I'm almost frightened to look at the news these days, what with the rise of the French Nationalists, worry if today will be the day Trump's whimsy takes him "nuclear", our war involvement in the middle East, and not forgetting we have a make or break general election of our own in a month.
Still, despite all that, I better take a quick peek at sky news headlines before I go to bed, after all, there's MASSIVE events happening all around the world today and I need to be informed, irrespective of how hard the news is to take.
OK, let's do it... wait! dafuh is this?
