This Russia investigation is like watching 'LOST' all over again.
For months we've heard that the FBI, NSA, CIA and ODNI have been looking into alleged collusion between Trump & Russia to 'interfere with the election' but haven't confirmed who made the allegation or on what grounds, presumably by hacking John Podesta's google account and passing them to WikiLeaks.
The elephant in the room here is that Team Clinton obviously made the allegation to justify her losing $1.2bn of donor money on her miserable campaign, it's projection 101. The longer it drags on, the better it is for Clinton, not so great for democracy, but hey-ho, you can't have it all.
Now we're hearing about Seth Rich's tragic murder, which both WikiLeaks and Julian Assange have recently tweeted about, we have Kim Dotcom about to give his evidence on Tuesday. Strap yourselves in and pass me the popcorn, because just like LOST things are finally about to get interesting and I predict a few twists along the way.
The mobs are forming, pitchforks are out, coincidentally the need for evidence is also out (the window) but here's the thing. Rather than impeaching Trump for having set new highs in presidential incompetence or new lows in racist bigotry, any and all rational democrat/progressive should be fighting to KEEP Trump in the white house... and here's why.
It wasn't too long ago Hillary Clinton lost the presidency to this moron and if the DNC are planning to run another Corporate Democrat in 2020, the ONLY chance they're going to have is if they run against Trump.
Let's say Trump gets impeached and Mikey P steps up to the plate, why would that be a bad thing? you ask. After all he certainly appears to be outwardly sane, a man who takes his job seriously and would be able to pass policy. [intercept article]
Here's why keeping ol' Donny boy around, is actually a win-win. think about it, right now he's less popular than full-blown aids, he's excellent fodder for the media which would make campaigning against him exponentially easier, all the American people have to do is sit tight just a little longer, safe in the knowledge that Trump's life-long streak of incompetence will continue whilst he's in office... which is a gimme if the past few months are anything to go by, meaning he will likely fail at implementing much of his policies. In parallel to this, the left are steadily mobilising, it's looking increasingly likely that Elizabeth Warren is planning a run in 2020, Bernie Sanders is still on the scene getting his ideas out there which will drag the Dems closer to their historically working class base, Tulsi Gabbard and Nina Turner are also waiting in the wings and have huge grass-roots support.
So folks, there you have it... four potential candidates any of whom would KICK Trump's ass in any presidential race, four potential candidates who would undoubtedly reduce the number of wars America are waging, four candidates who would introduce universal health care, lift millions out of poverty through a living wage, to say nothing of saving the planet by investing in renewable energy.
To impeach Trump now would be to commit a gross act of hubris, he is the silver lining of the Dems outrageous decision to run the one candidate less popular than Trump.
“We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of Now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy.” – Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. August 28, 1963
And before you say anything, I know what you're thinking, and I agree, totally, those 7 words do NOT belong together, and even now as I read them back, 'click-bait' is the word that springs to mind. But, if I can ask you to hold off from unleashing vitriol of biblical proportions in the comments section below and hear me out.
The basis of my conclusion comes from the same question that the 57.9% of eligible American voters who turned out faced on November 8th 2016. Which was "who is the lesser evil"?
Despite this feeling I have deep down in my balls that anybody who can't beat a thin-skinned, sexist, racist, war crime advocate, disabled journalist mocking, pussy grabbing, 6 time bankruptee doesn't deserve to win, I have to admit there's a tiny part of me that agrees Hillary would (at least in the short term) be the lesser evil. However, the perverse irony here is that Trump's 'negatives' are in fact the reasons I was secretly rooting for him to beat dear ol' Hills.
“I know he'll fuck it up” – Me. October, 2016
I think it's time I cut to the chase. And let me just say, I have tremendous faith in Donald Trump, he's such an obvious fraud with a record of running nickel and dime scams like Trump University, (what billionaire needs to scam members of the public out of a few grand anyways?) he has at least 6 failed businesses under his belt (a belt that was probably made in China) and he's universally hated to boot. Add all that up and it means he'll be scrutinised 'up the wazoo', blocked at every opportunity (from both sides), meaning, as in business, he'll accomplish very little.
But the real cherry on the cake here is that we're just 3 months into the Trump regime (I doubt he'll see 2 years) and already the 'left' are organising in a way they NEVER would have if Hillary had gotten the nod. Bernie Sanders is still the most popular politician in America, there's grass roots movements sprouting up from coast to coast such as 'Draft Bernie', 'Run Tulsi' there's the Justice Democrats who are taking on the 'corporate democrats' in the forthcoming primaries. the same corporate democrats who are being booed whenever they appear in public.
Trump has awoken the revolution, Hillary would have kissed it on the cheek and sent it back to sleep.
